-"If a changeling could be tricked into revealing itself it would go away, but the ways of tricking them seemed beyond us: gathering hundreds or thousands of pieces of silverware and placing them in front of the changeling, so that it would exclaim in shock, cooking a meal in the broken half of one eggshell- A changeling might be starved out, but this was not, we agreed, something we could convince Aunt Vera to try. If a changeling is taken, though, into the woods, and set on the ground there, the books said that the fairies would come and take it back, and in its place they would leave the real baby."
Tyvärr gick de här historierna över min horisont, de blev bara mer och mer obegripliga. Boken har fått högt betyg på GoodReads så andra läsare har helt andra upplevelser...
